Cabarrus Sibshops

Cabarrus Sibshops is a support program for kids 3^rd thru 9^th grades who have a brother or sister with special needs.  Sibshops give kids an opportunity to meet with peers to discuss their joys and concerns of having a brother or sister with a disability. Sibs participate in games and team building activities, crafts, food, and Letters to "Aunt Blabby" (a time to brainstorm solutions for common concerns). Most of all,

Cabarrus Sibshops Partners are: The Arc of Cabarrus County, FSN of Southern Piedmont, Speedway Children’s Charities, Sue Rebich (Instructor with UNC-Charlotte), Donna Badami (Physical Educator) and volunteers from UNC-Charlotte

The Sibling Support Project is a national effort dedicated to the life-long concerns of brothers and sisters of people who have special health, developmental, or mental health concerns.

Just for boys and girls who have a

brother or sister with a disability.
